From Scrap to Value: Xinbo Aluminum Advances Aluminium Recycling

Sep 08, 2026

For aluminium, the end of one product life does not have to mean the end of the material itself.

Can an aluminium profile, after completing its first life, return to the production line?

Yes — but not by simply melting it down and starting over.

Aluminium scrap comes from different sources, alloy grades, chemical compositions, coatings, and levels of contamination. If mixed and remelted without proper control, much of its original material value can be lost.

True recycling therefore starts long before the furnace. Scrap must first be identified, sorted, cleaned, and separated, before going through melting, refining, composition adjustment, and quality inspection.

Each step is a process of restoring order to a complex material stream — removing impurities, bringing the chemistry back under control, and making sure the aluminium is ready to meet manufacturing requirements again.

The goal is not simply to recycle aluminium, but to preserve and rebuild its value so it can return to manufacturing for another life.

What determines whether recycled aluminium can return to manufacturing is not remelting alone, but precise sorting, effective impurity removal, and accurate composition control.

Once the scrap is sorted, the focus shifts to transformation — turning mixed aluminium from different sources into consistent, manufacturing-ready billets.

Melting alone does not make recycled aluminium manufacturing-ready. Gases, oxides, inclusions, and composition deviations must still be removed or corrected through refining, degassing, testing, and precise alloy adjustment.

Casting is not the final checkpoint. Each aluminium billet must pass checks on composition, microstructure, appearance, and batch consistency before moving on to the next stage of manufacturing.

Based on systematic control of scrap sorting, melt purification, composition adjustment, and quality inspection, Xinbo Aluminum Bar Casting Co., Ltd. has established a complete recycled aluminium production system covering scrap classification and pre-treatment, melting and refining, alloy adjustment, billet casting, and final inspection.

Supported by Xinbo Aluminum's capabilities in alloy development, aluminium extrusion, and downstream applications, the company continues to scale and standardize recycled aluminium production—turning aluminium scrap into stable, manufacturing-ready alloy materials for new applications.

This is more than giving scrap aluminium a second use. It is about rebuilding material performance and creating new application value.

Xinbo Aluminum Bar Casting Co., Ltd. is committed to both closed-loop recycling and value-added upgrading of aluminium scrap. Through controlled sorting, refining, and composition optimization, recycled aluminium can either retain its original material grade and return to production, or be upgraded into higher-performance aluminium alloys for more demanding applications.

Beyond recycling, Xinbo Aluminum Bar Casting Co., Ltd. keeps aluminium in motion — preserving its value, enhancing its performance, and giving it new possibilities.
